Case Study: Earthworks Volume
Traditionally, walking over sites that are or have been the subject of large scale earthworks is not easy and sometimes it is potentially hazardous. With a large scale environment such as a ski field, earthwork volume calculations can quickly become complicated and time consuming.
Topographical data gathered with different technologies by Eliot Sinclair before and after earthworks on a large open site were then supplemented by several static long range scans. By comparing surfaces, Eliot Sinclair were then able to undertake efficient and accurate volume calculations in the office.
